A teen’s perspective of America and the world today

What is today’s world like? Well there are a lot of things going on in today’s world. Some on it being good some of it being bad… One thing that is going on is the dept our country y has gotten us into. We are billions of dollars in debt and it’s not getting any better. We keep spending money on things that we don’t need to spend money on. Like the war we have gotten ourselves into we spend tons of money on equipment to supply the troops when we shouldn’t even be in the war. Another thing that is bad if the loss of jobs and the recession we are in. Many people have lost their jobs their home and all of their belongings because of the lack of jobs and money. The government says we are out of the recession and it may take time to go back to the way things where before but many people don’t think that we are out of it and that things aren’t going to be getting much better. One of the good things is that the huge oil spill that we had is finally getting cleaned up and a permanent seal on it so that no more oil will be leaking out. We have a fairly new president and he says he is going to fix things and I hope he does because today’s economy sucks and having to grow up with these problems will be crappy.

When you’re a little kid, the professional world seems pretty appealing: firefighter, doctor, nurse, and astronaut are among the high-profile gigs you’re aware of. As you get older, you realize that the mere desire to be an NBA star or a famous painter doesn’t guarantee success. What was your ideal job when you were little? What do you imagine yourself doing now?
What did you want to be when you where a little kid? Well when I was little I always wanted to be a truck driver. My dad was a truck driver and I always thought that the big trucks where just the coolest ever! I always told my mother and father that I wanted to drive semi trucks.
My dad would always take me on his trips with him when he drove his truck. I loved it! He would haul rock and remains of old bridges they had torn down. I got to see all kinds of equipment and got to help people use them. My dad was gone a lot and I really didn’t like it as I grew up I still kinda wanted to be a truck driver but after my dad had a stroke from driving the dream just kinda faded. I still kinda want to drive a truck in the back of my mind but I also have another job I am really really into. Now I am really into audio and visual technical stuff. I spent a lot of time working on car stereos and interior and exterior lighting…
